It’s About Your Perspective

And The Choices Are Not Simple or Easy To Make

_____

So you’ve got a few bucks in your pocket… What are you going to do with it? After we provide food, clothing, and shelter for ourselves the questions get tougher and the options are endless. This is when our ‘perspective’ influences the decisions we all make about using and spending our money.

No two perspectives are the same. Knowing what you really want guides your choices, makes it easier for you to decide, and simplifies the debate you may have with yourself. You’ll save more money, too.

Do you know what you really want? My guess is that… you don’t know. I had to learn this myself: what we ‘want’ is too vague and generally undefined. We want ‘money’, abundance, wealth, or riches and the good health to enjoy it. That’s basically it.

Ask around and you’ll hear the same thing from other people. The real details are omitted, our dreams are often stunted, or our dreaming has stopped.

When we think big, we ‘want’ to do things like travel or see the world. Big thinking is often about a high performance car or an estate home. But when it comes to the specifics, beyond our needs and desires in the immediate future and a few hopeful wishes we may still hold on to, the picture starts to get fuzzy. Right?

Understanding your own needs vs. wants is: to ‘know’ what you want and to also know what you need. Managing your perspective and keeping a strong vision on the specific things you want and need – is Key. When I learned to evaluate my own needs and wants, the most important thing I found out was that it is OK… to want! Knowing what I want today feels good now, too.

It was not easy making this change. It was conscious and opposite to the way I was raised to believe when I was young. Back then, it was OK to need, but it really wasn’t right to want. It was that simple. If you had what you needed it was enough… To want more, was unrealistic and seldom encouraged. Lots of us grew up this way.

Fast forward to now, and a complete change in my perspective about ‘wanting’, now allows me to make my dreams a reality. A change in perspective like this may be exactly what you need… The difference it makes comes in time, and is well worth the wait and the effort it takes to make a big change. To know what you want frees you to achieve it and provides a defined goal for you to work toward.

The rewards you will enjoy when you think seriously about asset protection measures, and evaluate your needs vs. wants is great. To earn the things you want and deserve in life, you must know you want them and be equally motivated to make them happen.

So, the next time you’ve got a few bucks in your pocket and you are deciding what you’re going to do with it… you can think about your options with more clarity now. Your decision can be easier and favor of both your basic needs and specific wants. I’m glad we could clear that up.

Those who understand this difference and think about it often, are creating what’s needed, what they want, and the abundance to share it with others. Take time to hone your perspective about your needs vs. wants and protect your assets. It costs nothing out-of- pocket and the rewards are never ending, as well.
